Charles Lander was born in Liverpool and has a thriving practice, conducting trials ranging across the whole criminal sphere.

He is continually instructed in murder cases, large-scale drug and firearm conspiracies, fraud cases, death by dangerous driving offences and other such serious criminal cases, including many sexual allegations of an historical nature.

He has appeared in the Court of Appeal on numerous occasions and was the successful Defence Junior Counsel in the House of Lords case of R v Bentham (2005) 1 W.L.R 1057.

He is a Category 4 Prosecutor and sat on a panel for many years, together with Mr Justice Globe and Mr Justice Holroyde, in relation to the awarding of a scholarship for barristers practising on the Northern Circuit.

Away from work, and when not chasing his children around the house, Mr Lander is a keen sports fan and particularly follows his football team, both home and away.
