Helen joined Chambers in March 2023. She joins having managed a successful practice in-house at a large firm of solicitors in the South. Helen qualified as a solicitor in 2004, and amassed a wealth of advocacy experience in the Magistrates Courts and representing clients in Police Station interviews.
Helen attained her higher rights in 2008 and from 2016 has practised advocacy almost exclusively in the Crown Courts. She transferred to the Bar in 2019. Helen is an experienced trial advocate, and regularly defends in a wide range of cases, including drug conspiracies, serious violence and sexual offences. She has undertaken the training in relation to questioning young and vulnerable witnesses. Helen has also appeared numerous times in an appellate capacity before the Court of Appeal.
