Jo is an experienced, specialist criminal practitioner who prosecutes and defends in a wide variety of cases, including serious and organised crime, firearms, drug trafficking, modern slavery and serious violence, fraud, homicide, serious sexual offences and child neglect. Jo also has experience in RSPCA and animal cruelty work.
Jo is a Category 3 prosecutor and has been junior counsel in several large multi-handed drug conspiracy cases. She has appeared many times in the Court of Appeal, including in the leading authority of R v Reed (Alistair) [2021].
Jo is renowned for her client care skills and is careful to deal with sensitive situations in a tactful manner. She can bring her skills to the fore as an advocate for the Prosecution or the Defence.
