Overview:

Oliver joined Chambers as a tenant in July 2022 having successfully completed his pupillage under Paul Wood.

Since January of 2022, Oliver has prosecuted and defended in a wide variety of trials, applications and appeals before the Youth, Magistrates and Crown Courts. He has also conducted private prosecutions on behalf of charities and secured the return of electric bikes seized by the authorities in quasi-civil proceedings under the Police Property Act 1897.

Before qualifying, Oliver studied English Literature and graduated with First-Class Honours. He then completed the GDL and BPTC LLM at Nottingham Law School, achieving a Distinction overall. Oliver also worked as an assistant to various counsel on the Northern Circuit. During this time, he produced written work and research to assist in a variety of criminal litigation including fraud and gang-land murder. His experience also took him to the Court of Appeal in relation to POCA matters.

Outside of work Oliver takes a keen interest in wine, cooking and music.
